Check-list

DECIDED that there is no place quite like Oxford to spend your Junior Year or Semester? Perplexed by the myriad of offerings? Several US colleges and universities offer a fully integrated, efficiently administered, high quality academic program which doesn't cost the earth. Administered on site by OPUS, the Oxford Programme for Undergraduate Studies, and working continuously and successfully with the largest number of Oxford colleges compared to any other program, there is nothing of essence we do not provide,

Most US accredited programs offer litle or no integration; programs which offer an element of integration are rarely US accredited (hence potential problems with credit transfers and financial aid). The OPUS option is both fully integrated and US accredited, enabling you to earn thirteen hours of academic credit during one twelve week term. You can have your cake and eat it too. If your home college does not yet have an association with us you may be eligible to apply to us through the Brockport Oxford Program.

Use the check-list below to see how we stack up. Unless indicated otherwise, all the following elements, essential in a first rate program, are included in the fees which you will pay to your home college. We do not charge for meals so participants can choose to either dine in hall when they wish (and pay per individual meal) or prepare their own in the modern kitchens in each student house, there are no expensive meal plans you are stuck with.

We are proud of our achievements; we believe OPUS combines the closest experience yet to being an Oxford undergraduate for a term or a year with the highest level of constant pastoral care available anywhere. But don't just take our word for it. Speak to those who have attended this Program from your own university. Ask your Study Abroad Adviser to request feedback from the entire community of study abroad advisers. Look at past Student Comments. Or ask those who've gone to Oxford through any other program what they have heard about OPUS. We're not legendary for nothing.
